Naebabe answered this question very very well in the other topic. But I would like to go back to the catholic communion discussion:
Ok, so I have made my point about it not being strictly biblical, and that the Eucharist is more prone to being taken out of text than a Christians perspective.
I have made my point on the lack of evidence, and that there is still no proof of the Eucharist ever taking place.
So you move to actual witness, which can be risky, but in your case works perfectly, and I will respond to that.
You said that you experienced crying and different emotions and craziness. This had nothing to do with the communion. This is the Holy Spirit. When Jesus left, he anointed us with the power to receive the Spirit, but he didn't say anything about us having to do something to receive it. The disciples could now do miracles, and so can we.
That is what you where feeling, but again, I do not see any correlation to this having to do with drinking Jesus' blood and actual body. Here's why:
I experience the Holy Spirit all the time. The moments are divine. At one point I prophesied and I didn't even know what I was saying. My mom speaks in tongues when we pray, and miracles happen frequently.
My point is that the spirit is all giving. I only take communion once a month to remember Jesus' sacrifice, but the Spirit is always present. So you experiencing the Spirit has nothing to do with the Eucharist.
