How is Christianity Any Different From Previous Religions

Topics about God from the viewpoint of atheists and Christians.

I am saying that Christianity is more than just a mere religion, i.e. man seeking God, but is more in that Christianity is God seeking to have a relationship with us, that is, for us to become His children. He came down from heaven in the form of a man, and died for our sins that we may have a way to spend eternity in heaven with Him. Many Christians, such as myself, define our belief as much more than just a religion, and define our relationship with God as a relationship. Did not mean to create confusion on this point. From a strict dictionary definition standpoint, Christianity is a religion. For our discussion purposes, Christianity is a religion.
