Ok, I have used Canons for quite some time (I don't own one right now though) Here are some of my faves.

Gl2
This camera rocks. For the price it delivers a huge punch of power, a clear picture and nice clean audio.

Xl 1-2 These guys are the bomb. I've never actually used a 2 but I hear they are heaven on earth.

I love Canon optics. They have some of the best lenses ever devised by mankind.
Those who believe it can't be done should not hinder the person doing it.

My school's got 'em all.

GL2 - this is one nice camera, although you have to dig through the menus to get to the manual options. It's a bit noisy on startup, but the 3 CCD lens gives a very nice 4:3 image.

XL2 - the only camera I check out from school now. This is the best camera I have ever used. So much customization, with most of the manual controls on the camera body. The lens itself is huge! 4:3 and 16:9 shooting on a 3CCD sensor, plus awesome optical image stabilization. This camera gives amazing depth of field too!

Here's a demo vid I created with the XL2
