I'm thinking I'm progressive-conservative.

That is, stick with what has worked in the past, but as time goes on and society changes, we should move forward carefully.

Neither are better, and neither current parties represent what their true parties stand for, which is why we have Republicans who don't feel like Republicans right now. I'm a fiscal Republican (true Republican, not current), but a societal Democrat. But in the end, I vote for the person, not for the party.

So let's throw the question out there: Obama or McCain, and why?

I still haven't decided. I'm finishing up McCain's Hard Call and Obama's The Audacity of Hope. I already read Dreams From My Father, so I want to read at least one more McCain book. I don't think I will know who I am voting for until the day of elections. I'm still researching both of them, and the closer we get, the more likely we are going to get more honest answers from them.

Right now, I am leaning Obama. We need to start reestablishing our international diplomacy. I don't think that's McCain's strong point, quite honestly. I think Obama would be fantastic in that realm. But then again, I like politicians that are free thinkers, and I think McCain wins in that category. So, I'm still researching...

im a pretty far right-republican, and i think that im going to vote for Mccain. he has more of the ideas i have (pro-life etc.) plus, hi VP is much better than Obama's (Obama's used to support Hillary and crtiticized him at the beggining of race)
