Adoption

Postby AnointedMinstrel on Sun Jun 15, 2008 3:54 pm

Hey everyone! Please keep my family in your prayers. We are adopting a little boy named Apollos from an orphanage in Ghana, Africa. He's really sweet! My mom just got back from visiting him in Ghana and hopefully he will be released and we will get to bring him home to live with us here in Washington by November or early December.

So please be praying! The woman who owns the orphanage is in Washington right now and will be visiting our family tomorrow so we can meet with her and talk to her.

lol wow thanks for the support guys :D

Well today the woman who owns the orphanage was at our house but it was tough to tell if that helped anything because she did most of the talking and barely any of it was about Apollos. Mostly just small talk. She didn't give us any more info on the adoption so please keep praying!!!

God bless you all and thank you so much for your prayers! I want my little brother to be home so please keep praying!!!!!!

Nice to see people with hearts like yours! Just don't let your Parents think "It's like there's one missing" That's how we got 7 extra kids besides my 3 Bio bros...

hey thats amazing that your adopting. my science teacher from 6th 7th and 8th grade has been trying to have kids ever since she got married but they haven't been able to so she and her husband decided to adopt. they are adopting a pair of twin sisters (about 13) and their little bro (don't know his age). they finally got approved and the kids are spending this weekend with them, then they move in next week! :D :D :D

I have some rough news. We just found out that we aren't getting Apollos because they referred him to another family that wanted him. But we are still trying to adopt so keep on praying!!! God bless!

Because we requested to adopt him and so did the other family, and I'm not sure exactly how they decided but apparently they felt he was better suited for the other family.

But God is awesome y'all cuz I know can see that Apollos wasn't meant for us! Why, you may ask? Because we now know who we are adopting and this time we got the referral which means it's official! By Christmas I will have THREE new siblings!!! Annamarie who is 10 or 11 years old, Naomi who is 3 years old, and their little brother David who is 4 months old!!!

This may sound insane but I honestly couldn't be more excited!!!!!!!

God bless you all have an awesome day!

wow!! thats crazy!!!!!!! lol well my science teacher got her kids finally. they even came down to visit us from Nevada earlier this week. it was a lot of fun we got to hang out! :D
lol this is kind of off topic but it was just a random thought that popped into my head so i had to say it lol. hannah i couldn't help but notice your always talking about your family and stuff going to places all over the world (like jerusalem and africa for example) and i am like, SOOO JEALOUS!! lol. after visiting my family in england this summer i like, decided that when i get out of high school i want to take a year or two off and just like, backpack around the world. and not all the touristy stuff either! i want to see the random bits. the bits that make up a country's culture that you don't normally get to see. like, i want to hike across the penine way (sp?) in england!! i got to see it from a distance it was cool! i would also love to go to australia, backpack the rest of europe, and go hunting in africa!!!!!....ok im done lol o_0

That's cool. Lol yeah I've been to Israel but that's all other than Canada that I've ever been to outside of the US. My mom has been to Israel 3 times, and Ghana once (soon to be twice to pick up my siblings!) and my dad has been to the Phillipines, Israel, and soon he will be off to Ghana as well! It's crazy im excited.

K well that's my update. God bless y'all and sorry i haven't been on here in so long! school is killing me.
