Hey what kind of software do you use to do your special effects and editing, I know you have 3ds Max and the gun flashes look like Combustion but what else do you use?

Yes. Sam.... I use Vegas Pro from Sony Creative software, and Particle Illusion. FXhome is good too. You also might want to look at 3DS MAX. This program is amazing, and I am moving more and more to using that for everything. :) Enjoy!

Oh, I envy you, I don't have any professional video software, all I have is pinnacle studio 9.4, blech!!! It doesn't even do HD!!! Of course I don't have an HD camera so it doesn't matter. I did recently move up from trueSpace to 3ds Max (and combustion and cleaner) but I don't have any money left for more editing power.

You should try voodoo, (if you have not already) it's a free match moving program that works quite well for it's price tag. Do you ever use the stuff from detonation films?

Do you use FX home or Combustion?

EDIT: Oh, I did get to use FCP in a video class and on a freelance I did, that is one amazing program!

Wax 2.0e from debugmode.com is the best program I know (It even has particles!). It's a little harder to get going (But not as bad as blender3D), but it's worth the, FREE DOWNLOAD! If you have wax, lsmaker, and anim8or then your good to go. I even made this using anim8or and wax

And using Wondertouch's free ShowIEL, and wax, this:

And once you add particles included in wax, Walla! Ghost rider. And the best part is theres no programming needed, it just takes time to get use to it.
