Rocket Effect

You create the effect with a 3D program, or a particle program such as Particle Illusion. Look at 3D Studio Max for awsome tutorials about how to do this. You can also find other stock footage online. Once I get the time, I will insert a royalty free rocket. :)

You should be able to just add a video layer. Look into adding video with the help. Did you download PI?

You have to import the video files into the background. Of course you can chroma key, but inmporting them is much beter. :)
