I think this camera is the future of cinema. I've been following its development for over two years now and it has some pretty incredible features and stuff.
For those of you who don't know. Red is a camera being developed by the owner of the Oakley sunglasses company. It shoots 4k and costs only about $20,000 (plus lenses and accessories) It was used on "Jumper" and Peter Jackson's short film "Crossing The Line." FCP now supports the cameras unique codec (redcode) and edits 4K hot off the camera.
Needless to say this camera makes me drool. It has a full 35mm CCD and can accept a variety of 35mm lenses. You absolutely must check this camera out.
