That comes from years of honing my grammatical skills on political forums that are dominated by men. I am a bit of tom-boy, and a total nerd, so I assure you I didn't take any offense. It happens all of the time on forums because, as you stated, I do have a pretty straight-forward "masculine" style of writing.

lol i personally have no idea how you can even tell if someone is a guy or girl from what they write, but ok. lol

Yeah, guys and girls tend to write differently. The describe things different ways and use differing expressions and words. I guessed she was a guy because of a compartmentalized writing style. She moved from one subject to the next in a very orderly fashion, a trait typical of men whereas a woman usually flows from one subject to the next with little or no categorical division.

That is one of the typical differences anyway, when I get hyper or start daydreaming I start to write like a girl.
Those who believe it can't be done should not hinder the person doing it.
