Postby choky_19 on Sat Jan 26, 2008 12:50 pm

Hi guys, Well I'm interested about your traveling wishes;
Whre would u want to travel and where have you been already

I perosnaly would want to go to any country in south America becouse I think that the people there are sincerely good there and are not runned by the whole western way of life..also the girls in SA are a big factor

And where have I been: Most of Europe(couse everything is colse to my country), US ( west coast), Russia, and Turkey (if u don't count it as Europe)

Well, hoping to hear your traveling wishes and thoughts about countries u visited!

I think I would like to go to Asia and maybe Europe. I've been to Mexico and Canada and most of the states but never off the continent. My brother and sister are in Hawaii and I am infinitely envious of that.

I would definately like to go travel the world, my older sister is living in France right now and she has been to most of the big countries in Europe but Europe doesn't sound all that special once you know someone who lives there. Maybe Antarctica?

I was born in England, and passed through a few times when I was older.
I lived in Saudi Arabia for about 6 years when I was a kid. We traveled a lot then, going to Hong Kong, Singapore, and all over the US.

I would very much like to backpack through Ireland, and probably hit up Paris, England, and Scotland while I am over there.

I'd also like to go to Alaska. My parents went on a cruise to Alaska last year, and it looks amazing.

VIP U are right about Europe, everything is the same and I really dont know whats so special about Paris or London (I mean for younger ppl)

But Europe can be great if u know where to go!
For example, When I was in LA last year I asked some people do they know where Croatia is and nobody knew.
Then I asked them do they know where Italy is and every1 knew and thats sad, cause Zagreb (capital of CRO) is less than 200miles from Rome.

I can guarantee that the best places for those who want to party
and have a good time in Europe are countries like croatia, slovenia, hungary and Serbia.

But thats an educational problem in the US because 90% of ppl from 15
to 20 cant name more than 10 European or Asian countries and we in Crotaia have to know at least 30 states in the US in the 6th grade! :(

Oh, when I was in sixth grade geography I had to memorize the names, capitols, shapes and geographical location of every single country in the world. Unfortunately that was a long time ago and I don't really remember it now.

What's sad is that America does not require more history. There are almost no college majors that require even one class of history and my sister tried to apply to a French college and they wouldn't accept her because she only graduated from an American high school and that's not enough to get into a French university.

I think that America puts to much emphasis on sports and entertainment and not enough on academics. In fact I'm currently reading a book titled, "Nerds, who they are and why the world needs more of them." It's about why America is doing so poorly in math and science and why you have to go to India to find a good engineer. Very good book, I would highly recommend it.

Anyhoo, you can get back on topic now that I'm done with my little rant.

I went to Israel last March and I'm dying to go again. My church is doing another trip in October but it costs a lot of money to go...so hopefully God will provide a way for me to go.

It's amazing!!!

That must depend on the college, because at my school, every major requires at least two semesters of math, two semesters of history, four semesters of a foreign language, and four semesters of literature.

It's a mentality thing. Parents don't put enough emphasis on math and science because they aren't very good at it. So the kids don't learn it well enough, grow up, become parents, and the cycle continues; getting worse, and worse, and worse.

Because even if you aren't good at these aspects of education, you can still get a good job. In China, India, Japan, etc... parents push their kids to go into medicine or engineering, because that is where the money is, and that's how you can get out.

nyways, if i could go to any place, it would either be Australia (because of the wildlife and i love that accent ) or Italy (for the third time)

Oooh yeah Australia would be awesome too! Of course, I wish I could've gotten to see Steve Irwin perform there...I loved that guy.

But it would still be awesome to go there!
